They opened a trapdoor and climbed out. The trapdoor slammed itself shut, trapping Danella and Larrious.

“This is the third floor?” Danella said unimpressed. It appeared as though they were just on the roof of the school. “More like the roof.”

“No look, there are walls!” Larrious said touching an invisible barrier.

“So we just can’t see it?” Danella asked.

“That’s exactly it,” a voice said from behind them.

“Mrs. Badger?!” Larrious exclaimed.

“Could this get any crazier?” Danella rhetorically asked.

“As the second helper to the heirs, I possess the ability to see the third floor,” Mrs. Badger proclaimed.

“If I say please will you give it to us?”

“Yes, Larrious, you can have it. In fact you, yourselves have made it.”

“What do you mean?” Danella asked.

“Those labs had more then academic meaning to them. By combining all of the labs, a solution is create,” she replied, holding up to small test tubes filled with a magenta liquid.

“Cool!” Larrious exclaimed grabbing one of the tubes.

“If I drink this and I die, I swear you’ll all regret this,” Danella mumbled. Both Larrious and Danella hesitantly drank the solution. Instantly the third floor appeared, it was just one huge room. The walls were covered in music related items but there was nothing on the floor.

“It worked!” Larrious yelled, he turned to look at Mrs. Badger but she was gone. Instead another teacher stood in her place.

“You are not welcome here,” Mrs. Lear growled, “LEAVE!” Her form quickly changed and grew. Her skin became dark and scaley, eyes turned a violent shade of red, and her body morphed into the shape of a dragon.

“This is just great,” Danella sighed.

“DIE!” the dragon roared before lunging forward with its mouth wide open.

“No I don’t want to be eaten,” Larrious exclaimed as he ran out of the dragon’s path.

“Any help at any time would be nice, Mrs. Badger!” Danella yelled out as she rolled to the side.

“NO ONE CAN HELP YOU NOW!!! NONE CAN ESCAPE THE LEARINATOR!!!”
Did Steinbeck absolutely NEED to include crooks in Of Mice and Men?
Long ago a bowling alley was created at the command of the gods of bowling by the ancient, noble, and wise founders of Carlynton. It was hidden deep in the ground beneath the school.
“Whoooooooooo sophomores!!!” Larrious exclaimed at the biannual pep rally.

“Can we just be seniors already?” Danella sighed, unhappily, “I hate this school, nothing cool ever happens.”

“Perk up Debbie Downer,” Larrious replied just as the masked cougar pounced into the gymnasium. The lights dimmed and fireworks exploded as the seniors entered with Mr. Kozy and Mrs. Petronsky, the senior class sponsors, walking on either side of the flow of excited students but, as far away from each other as possible. It was no secret that the two despised each other for some unknown reason.

“Yay,” Danella said sarcastically.

“It’s nothing,” Danella replied.

“It is so, and seeing as time is of the essence at the moment, I will ask you, Danella, not to interrupt. The founding members of this school made what would seem like a bowling alley in this age. It was forged at the command of the gods from sacred gold and celestial bronze. It served as a gateway between the world of mortals and demons.
I never should have asked you kids to come here. Whoever this Rosslyn boy was must have been important because at the mention of him Mrs. Petro ran at the troll in a fury. They both toppled over into the closet sending books flying in every direction. But something was off. Their fall seemed farther than it should have been, and the ground they hit was not the usual smooth tiles of the schools flooring but, something rough and jagged.

"What'd you do that for," Danella moaned as she picked herself up from the rocky floor.
